Bernie Connor has practised yoga since 1990 and is a qualified Iyengar yoga teacher for many years. With four ongoing classes, Bernie teaches in a lively energetic way and regularly attends workshops with visiting senior Iyengar teachers. Iyengar yoga is based on the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar.

This practice of yoga increases flexibility, strength, vitality, concentration and calm. It is suitable for people of all ages and all levels of fitness. Students are gradually introduced to a structured system of postures (asanas). These include standing, sitting and inverted poses, backbends, forward bends and twists aimed to relieve stress, gain energy and improve posture followed by relaxation and pranyama (breathwork). Benefits can be felt after the first session.

New 10 week term of classes begins Tuesday 15th November 2011 to week of 7 February (with a break over Christmas & New Year).
Tuesdays: 7-8.15pm Beginner Yoga
Tuesdays: 8.15-10pm Continuation Yoga
Wednesdays: 10:00-11:30am Mixed Ability Yoga
Thursdays: 7.30-9pm Mixed Ability Yoga

10 week term – €110 (except Continuation Yoga – 10 week term €120)
